The BTS Gestion de la PME (GPME) is a two-year course focusing on the management and development of small and medium-sized businesses. This work-study program aims to train multi-skilled professionals capable of supporting the management of an SME in its day-to-day and strategic missions.

Our two-year course prepares you to become an expert in SME management, acquiring skills in administrative management, accounting, human resources, customer and supplier relations, communication, business development and project management.

Our curriculum is structured around key modules covering all aspects of business management. The first year is dedicated to acquiring the fundamentals of management, followed by in-depth specialization in the second year. You will also have the opportunity to put your knowledge into practice through a concrete final project.

Our pedagogical approach combines theoretical courses, case studies, group projects and in-company periods to offer you a balanced training program that integrates theory and practice. We firmly believe in learning by doing, a key element in understanding and mastering business management concepts.

The course lasts two years on a full-time basis.

Towards which professions

The salary of an entry-level manager with a BTS GPME varies according to experience, training and employer. On average, an entry-level manager earns between €30,000 and €35,000 gross per year.

With experience, a manager can progress to positions of greater responsibility and higher salaries. For example, an administrative and financial manager can earn up to €50,000 gross per year, an SME director can earn up to €60,000 gross per year, and a business management consultant can earn up to €70,000 gross per year.

The prerequisites for registration are :

  • For Bachelors and BTS, a general, technological or vocational baccalaureate
  • Good command of English
  • Motivation and curiosity about the chosen field
  • Days from 7 to 9 a.m., two days a week and 3 days on the job. From 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

The cost of training varies according to the pace of the course.

Equivalence in certain subjects is possible if you have already obtained a BTS.

The main objectives of the BTS Gestion de la PME (GPME) training program are to train management assistants capable of participating in the operational management of the company in its administrative, human resources, commercial and accounting dimensions, as well as contributing to improving its efficiency by optimizing its organization. The BTS GPME aims to prepare students to manage relations with customers and suppliers, to participate in risk management, to ensure the day-to-day administrative management of personnel, and to support the operation and development of the SME. The course emphasizes versatility and adaptability, essential for supporting the manager in his or her decision-making. The program offers in-depth skills in business management, professional communication and digital tools, while raising students’ awareness of the challenges posed by the digitalization of SMEs and the importance of effective management in a constantly changing economic environment.

    HECTEN is committed to regular monitoring of each student’s academic performance. In the event of results indicating a risk of failure at the final exam, these cases will receive extra attention. A meeting with a supervisor will be organized to discuss the problems encountered and explore possible solutions. If, despite these efforts, performance does not improve, the school reserves the right not to register the student for the exams, leaving him/her free to take them as an independent candidate.
